Lewis County, New York -  Plentiful Water Supply

Our abundant, clean water is some of the best in the world.

There are over 2,000 miles of rivers and streams and many lakes in Lewis County, most originating in the Adirondack Mountains. The Moose, the Beaver, and the Deer Rivers are the major waterways converging in the Black River and running through the county to Lake Ontario.

Residents and industries are served by water and wastewater plants in several Lewis County villages. They are constantly being upgraded to support growth.
