Economic Nourishing

What is Economic Nourishing?  The term Economic Nourishing means “developing our economy from within.”  As opposed to “economic chasing” (the industrial age method  of trying to steal companies from other areas), Economic Nourishing involves informational assistance to existing businesses to become more successful and to assist new businesses in betting started right so they can become successful.

People too often find it confusing and frustrating to locate needed information from local, state and federal agencies about starting up or expanding a businesses and answering to questions that arise in the operation of those businesses, Economic Nourishing through the IDA Business Progress Center will assist in obtaining this information.

This approach encourages individuals to realize their business dreams in a supported environment.  The goal is to assist businesses in their development so they remain viable and prepared to overcome obstacles.

What Can Economic Nourishing do?  Provide information to local entrepreneurs.  Assistance is also provided in areas such as:
  • Legal business structure,
  • Business and marketing plans,
  • Licenses and permits,
  • Financial resources,
  • Finding real estate,
  • Compliance with Government Laws,
  • And other resource referral information.

How does Economic Nourishing Work?  The IDA Business Progress Center serves as a gateway to the Economic Nourishing System.  The center has access to a wealth of information on over 700 different businesses.  The center starts by taking basic information on your business and preparing a customized tailored guide of the various business requirements.  And then it is like employing a coach who provides assistance.

Our local entrepreneurs are just as good or better as those in other areas.  Economic Nourishing is about the real issue of wealth creation and the rate of growth.  Small companies can be nurtured into large companies and are more likely to stay in the area.
