"Throughout the history of the Lewis County Fair, there is a vivid reflection of people.......hard-working, fun-loving, home-loving people. In fact, for many years their fair assumed all the characteristics of an 'old home week'. The fair opens on Tuesday morning with opening ceremonies at 10:00 a.m., followed by many 4-H judging events.The Coleman Bros. Shows midway opens at 12:00 noon followed by the NY-Vermont Stakes Harness Races beginning at 12:30. The fair parade begins at 7:00 p.m. and proceeds through the Village of Lowville arriving at the fairgrounds at approximately 7:30 p.m. A fireworks display wraps up the day at 10:30 p.m. |
