Water rates are charges semi-annually as follows:
        Single Family Residence with 2 or more Residents..................$65.00
        Single Family Residence with 1 Resident.................................$45.00
        Pool - Additional........................................................................$12.50

 Water bills are mailed on February 1st and August 1st and are due within 30 days. If payment is not received after 30 days a 15% penalty is assessed.
 
An up-to-date sewer system is located to the east of the village near the Black River. There is no sewage fee charged. Garbage pick-up is every Friday morning with recyclables collected on alternate Fridays. Operational costs for the sewer system and for garbage pick-up are covered in the village tax.
 
Village of Castorland Board meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. The public is cordially invited to attend these meeting.
