| The
County of Lewis Industrial Development Agency (LCIDA) was established
in
1973 by an act of the New York State Legislature as a self funded
public
benefit corporation. The agency was
created to attract and enhance industrial and economic development.
The
LCIDA provides financial assistance to qualified applicants (the
"Company")
in order to promote:
- the
economic welfare,
- prosperity,
- and
recreational opportunities for residents of Lewis County.
Anyone
considering a building project or other economic development activity
within
the county begins with a call to the LCIDA. The agency has the ability
to undertake:
- industrial
- research,
- manufacturing,
- warehousing,
- commercial,
- industrial
pollution control,

- ecreation,
horse racing,
- railroad,
- educational,
- cultural,
- civic
facilities,
|
- life
care community projects,
- and
to issue bonds, either tax exempt or taxable, to help finance such
projects.

live in an exciting era of economic change on state, national, and

levels. Our agency, along with other county organizations and
officials,
is taking steps to ensure that we make good use of these new
